Now it’s Scully’s turn to be kidnapped and held hostage. Mulder confesses that Scully is important to him, and we meet Scully’s old instructor from the academy, who she used to date. Though he doesn’t last long.

However we do get to see some good old fashioned FBI style rescues with Mulder heading up the recovery of his partner. Mulder has his own thoughts about the near death experience of Jack the agent, but lets Scully make her own mind up for once… after all, she is important to him.
