Remember Google Wave? No, we barely do either. Google Wave was somewhere between attempt two and three of trying to build a social network platform that seemed to bridge the gap between LinkedIn and Facebook, but come April 30th of this year, it will be switched off for good. Google say there’s plenty of open source Waves for you to choose from, such as Apache Wave - but they have decided that after a few failures, Google+ is actually getting some love, so all other projects are being canned. Good thing too, as we barely believe there’s enough room for more then two global social networks. So long Wave, you were pretty cool ;)
